Joy Division formed during 1976 in Salford, greater Manchester area in the UK by four young men: Ian Curtis, Bernard Sumner, Peter Hook and Stephen Morris. Originally the band was called Warsaw.

Anton Corbijn started his career as a photographer in the 70’s with portraits of David Bowie, Lou Reed, Miles Davis, Peter Gabriel and Joy Division.
It was Corbijn who created the public image of U2 in the 80’s and he still continues to shape it.
